Quick answer
Yes, Papa Nessie works beautifully as a fun ladle for soups and stews, not just pasta. Its playful design and practical size make it a versatile addition to your kitchen.
Why Papa Nessie doubles as a ladle
While Papa Nessie is marketed as a pasta spoon, its deep, scoop-like shape and sturdy handle make it ideal for serving soups, stews, and chowders. The whimsical Nessie design brings a smile to everyday meals without sacrificing function.
The durable plastic construction is lightweight yet strong, and the 30 cm length provides good reach into deep pots. It's also dishwasher safe for easy cleanup.
What to keep in mind
Papa Nessie is not designed for heavy-duty stirring or scraping thick stews from the bottom of a pot—its plastic material may not withstand high heat or abrasive use. For gentle ladling of broth-based soups and lighter stews, it works perfectly.
