Learn how to turn HopTop, the froggy spoon rest, into a playful kitchen helper that keeps kids engaged and countertops clean while cooking together.
Quick Answer
HopTop makes a wonderful kitchen helper for kids by giving them a safe, fun way to rest spoons and stir utensils while cooking, and its frog design turns a simple task into a playful moment.
Why HopTop Works for Kids
HopTop is designed to perch on pot rims, which means it stays close to the action without taking up counter space. For kids, this makes it easy to reach and use, and the frog shape adds a touch of whimsy that encourages them to participate in cooking.
Because it's a spoon rest, it naturally gives kids a designated spot for their utensils, teaching them good kitchen habits early. The playful design also helps make cooking feel like a game rather than a chore.
How to Use HopTop with Kids
- Set Up HopTop on the Pot Rim: Place HopTop on the rim of the pot you're using, ensuring it's secure and balanced. Show your child how it clips on and explain that it's their special spot for resting utensils. Check that HopTop is stable before letting your child place anything on it.
- Let Your Child Rest Their Utensil: Encourage your child to place their spoon or spatula on HopTop whenever they're not stirring. This keeps the utensil within reach and prevents messes on the counter. Remind them to use HopTop every time, so it becomes a habit.
- Turn It into a Game: Make a game of 'feeding the frog' by having your child place the utensil on HopTop each time they pause. This adds a playful element that keeps kids engaged and makes cleaning up easier. Praise them for remembering, and soon it'll be second nature.
Product Spotlight
- HopTop: HopTop is a froggy-shaped spoon rest that sits securely on pot rims, allowing steam to escape during cooking. This means kids can safely rest their spoon or spatula right on the pot, keeping counters clean and preventing drips without taking up extra space.
